Fine French violin from the workshop of Jacques Pierre Thibout, Paris ca. 1840 – 1850. The violin is labelled Antonius Stradivaruis 1713, as it was common among Parisian violin makers of the time. For example, J.B. Vuillaume, the most famous violin maker of the 19th century labelled his instruments similarly.
