French violin bow by Hippolyte Camille Lamy, “le fils” around 1920. Hippolyte Camille was one of two sons of Alfred LAMY (Père). His younger brother Georges Lamy (born 1881) was as well a bow maker. Hippolyte Camille he worked with his father together until his death in 1919. This violin bow has a weight of 59 grams and is built very similar to his fathers work. The stick is very elegant, light and yet firm.
