Excellent violin by the French violin maker Nicolas Francois Vuillaume, the younger brother of the famous violin maker Jean Baptiste Vuillaume, for whom he worked until 1828. After 1828 he started his own business in Brussels. Our violin is outstanding in terms of sound, with a beautiful craftsmanship in an incredibly good condition. The note and various inscriptions on the floor are very easy to read (please see pictures below). The woods used are also particularly attractive: the top is made of hazel spruce, the back, sides and snail are made of attractive birdseye maple. The varnish is very transparent with fine wear. The violin is actually in no way inferior to a Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume.
