Description

Our cello bow is a very rare example by Nicolas SIMON (fr.) who lived from 1806 – 1864.

The bow has a very good and solid pernambuco stick. The silver track on the frog is attached with 2 pins. SIMON (fr.) used pins but also screws (like Dominique PECCATTE) for this purpose.

SIMON (fr.) worked in Mirecourt all his life, but the quality of his bows are on a par with the famous bow makers from Paris.

The bow weighs 79 grams and comes with a CERTIFICATE BY J.-F. RAFFIN Paris 2021.
