Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

This interesting violin by Georg KLOZ<\/strong> from his later creative period, has a body length of 35.2 cm, which is typical for KLOZ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The violin has a paper copy on the inside of the bottom with the following inscription:<\/p>\n

“Georg Kloz in Mitten-wald an der Iser , 1774”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In addition, there is the following handwritten text on the inside of the floor:<\/p>\n

“Racomod\u00e8e par D.Nicolas ain\u00e8 M. Luthier a la Ville Cremone 1790.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This violin by KLOZ<\/strong> has been probably repaired by the famous violin maker from Mirecourt in the Vosges, Didier Nicolas, l\u00b4Aine (1757 – 1833). The 3 dark spots on the lower left half of the ceiling are small wood defects. Repair work has not been carried out on this instrument.<\/p>\n
