Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Special violin bow by Charles PECCATTE<\/strong> from his time at J.B. VUILLAUME<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Charles PECCATTE<\/strong>, a nephew of Dominique PECCATTE<\/strong>, learned bow-making from LENOBLE<\/strong> in Paris. From 1865 to 1870, he worked with J.B. VUILLAUME<\/strong>. Our bow was created there. A special rarity of the bow is a microphoto that can be seen in the frog eye. It shows Jean Baptiste VUILLAUME<\/strong> in the attire of violin makers, holding a violin. Two similar bows with microphotos of Charles PECCATTE<\/strong> are depicted in the book ‘The PECCATTE Family’<\/strong> by Paul Childs, on page 205.<\/p>\n

All metal parts are made of silver. The dark brown round rod is made of very good fernambuco.<\/p>\n

The weight of the bow with a silver wrapping is 59 grams.<\/p>\n

He is stamped with “J.B.VUILLAUME”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
