His two brothers were <strong>Sebastian KLOZ<\/strong> (1696 \u2013 1775) and <strong>Joan Carol KLOZ<\/strong> (1709 \u2013 1769).<\/p>\n<p>Our <strong>Georg KLOZ (I)<\/strong> is not to be confused with <strong>Georg KLOZ (II)<\/strong> (c. 1723 \u2013 1797), a son of <strong>Sebastian KLOZ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The instruments of <strong>Georg KLOZ (I)<\/strong> are very rare; after all, he was a contemporary of <strong>Antonius Stradivarius<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The instrument bears the wonderful original label inscription<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Giorgio Kloz propria Mea<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Manu feci in Mittenwald ao: 1733<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The violin has a warm and very beautiful sound.<\/p>\n<p>More detailed information about the Kloz family can be found in the excellent book by Wolfgang Zunterer:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kloz: The Violin Maker Family from Mittenwald.&#8221;
