Description

Violin in mint condition by Charles DROUIN (1847 – ca. 1910), built in Mirecourt in 1908.

The violin bears the original note on the inside of the back:

                                 Lutherie Artistique
                           Charles DROUIN, Luthier.
                             No 543 Mirecourt, 1908.

Charles DROUIN was also the owner of the well-known brand “Chipot-Vuillaume”, whose name he used for his instruments until 1897.

The violin is very well crafted in the typical Mirecourt style.
