Very good viola by Bruno BARBIERI (1922 – 1989) from 1972.
Bruno BARBIERI worked in Mantua. He was initially supported by Giuseppe ORNATI and Leandro BISIACH. “His model was initially influenced by T. Balestrieri and Scarampella before he developed his own personal model”. (Quote Eric Blot).
His instruments are always made of first-class wood, his lacquer is of special quality, bright and transparent. The viola is in very good condition, the body length is 41.9 cm. The instrument bears its original note inscription with the number 92.
In addition, on the lower frame, next to the button, there are two stamps B.
The viola includes a “CERTIFICATO” by Eric BLOT (click here)
