Very good violin bow by Emile François OUCHARD (Père) (1872 to 1951) around 1915.
OUCHARD Père first worked in the workshop of CUNIOT-HURY in Mirecourt. After his death in 1910, he ran the studio and then set up his own business in 1923. Our bow is a beautiful specimen from the time he worked at CUNIOT-HURY. The round rod is made of fine pernambuco, the ebony frog wears a simple mother-of-pearl eye. The split gusset is fastened with one pin each, the web is fastened with two pins. The three-part leg is attached to each of the silver rings with a pin.
All metal parts are made of silver. The sheet is stamped CUNIOT-HURY. The weight is 59.8 grams with a light silver spun winding.
