Description
Very interesting violin by Riccardo GENOVESE built in Lecco in 1927.
The violin bears the original note on the inside of the back:
Riccardo Genovese – fecit
Lecco – Anno Domini 1927
In addition, the following handwritten text is written on the inside of the left upper frame:
Riccardo Genovese fecit
Lecco anno 1927
It is a typical Piedmontese work and the violin clearly shows the influence of ANNIBALE FAGNOLA, with whom he was close friends.
The instrument is very well preserved and absolutely crack-free. Only in the paint there are slight signs of wear.
