Our violin by the violin maker Jan Kulik was built in 1832. Jan Kulik was one of the most famous violin makers in Prague in the 19th century. He was a student of Martin Stoss and built on models from Stradivari and Guarneri. The violin is more like a model by Januarius Gagliano.
The golden yellow, transparent lacquer also reminiscent of a Neapolitan work. The instrument is in a perfectly preserved condition. The sound is balanced and especially the E string carries a large supporting tone.
The original label is written in Czech:
„Jan Kuljk, hotowitel hudeb nastrogu W Praze 1832“
This violin comes with a certificate by Jean-Jaques RAMPAL.
